Interesting Music

From I found some intersting music by Bassnectar. I listened using amazon: If only there was a way to search for the artists listed on the Elektrobank playlist on Amazon as a single click vs. typing in a search. Looks like is close, but links to iTunes instead of Amazon. My old favorite does link to Amazon! Wonder how much of the music there actually can be purchased on Amazon. One interesting one by Kid Sister, Pro Nails was not available. Nice tune, by the way! Control is also a good sounding track.

Other awesome artists I heard through thesixtyone are Alex Gloworld (Massif, Chocolicious) and Danger (11h30, 14h54).

Enormous Tabasco Sauce Bottle Appears in Downtown Rochester

Incredibly, a gigantic Tabasco Sauce bottle appeared on the Rochester, NY city skyline yesterday. Enigmatically empty, it is unknown why this titanic icon mysteriously appeared. Several members of local law enforcement have approached the gargantuan bottle, but the glass is so thick and the cap so large, that opening the bottle seems exceedingly unlikely. There appears to be absolutely no solid or liquid remnants inside the bottle, which begs the questions, "Is it expected that the bottle be refilled?" and "Is this some spice-loving Titan's refuse?" More updates will be posted as information is revealed.

Potato Cannon 2

I started construction of another potato cannon today. Dennis is having another party this Summer, and I obviously have to build a better cannon so I can compete. I cut off the barrel on cannon 1 to see what effect it would have on range, and the range was shorter. I'm going to start with a long barrel on cannon 2 and see if it's any different than the original cannon. Here are a few photos of the current state of cannon 2.

Lifehacker - Hack your Life

Lifehacker has a lot of really interesting ideas and some not so interesting ones, but I saw this compilation and really enjoyed skimming it. Now I'll have to go back through it and try to implement some of the ideas.

Photo Contest

One of the nice daycare workers that looks after our children during the day has a photo hanging in the infant room at the daycare, and I really think it's a prize winner. It's a photo of her daughter in a fairy costume with a scraped knee. I think it's a real art shot. I looked for a good photo contest for her to enter, and I found We're going to try and enter it and see what happens.

Finding Good Music

One of the things I can't seem to figure out how to do well is find good new music. There are a couple of sites I like: The Sixty One: and The Hype Machine: If you know of better ways to do this, especially by genre, please let me know.

Is it legitimate to blog your own idea on your blog? I don't know. In case it's ok, here you go:
